Important Notes

• The DSSSB conducts examinations for many posts such as TGT, PGT, PRT teacher, clerk, assistant, etc.
• It mostly recruits for Group C and Group C level Posts.
• All candidates across India can apply for the Post but the job location of DSSSB is always within Delhi.
• Some rules are also applicable for many posts such as you should know the local language Hindi.
• The exam centers are only in Delhi.
• The selection process is completely online and for some posts the exam is conducted in 2nd tier.

DSSSB Exam Pattern

• The exam pattern of DSSSB is as follows:
• Tier-I Exam
  • Multiple choice questions are asked in the Tier-I exam.
  • This exam is 2 hours long.
  • In this questions are asked from General Awareness, General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability, Arithmetic & Numerical Ability, Hindi Language & Comprehension, English Language & Comprehension, Subject-specific (for certain posts).
  • A total of 200 questions are asked in the Tier-I exam, each question is worth one mark.
  • There is also a negative marking of one in four for every wrong answer.
• Tier-II Exam (for select posts)
  • Tier-II exam is objective and descriptive which varies according to the post.
  • Paper I (Objective): same as Tier-I; Paper II (Descriptive): post-specific subjects.
• Skill Test (where applicable)
  • For some posts (like Stenographer, Clerical) a skill test or Typing Test may be required.

Preparation Strategy for DSSSB

• The step by step preparation strategy plan is as follows:
• Know the Syllabus Thoroughly: Make sure to download the syllabus and notification from the official website. Check the topics of each section and make a checklist so that you can track your progress.
• Make a Practical Study Plan: Utilize your time wisely and set daily, weekly and monthly goals according to the remaining time. Give more time to weak subjects and keep revising the topics you have covered from time to time. Don’t neglect any section, as all carry marks.
• Strengthen Core Subjects: For general awareness, keep reading newspapers and also pay attention to current events and practice static GK daily. To strengthen your reasoning ability, keep solving puzzles series and previous year reasoning questions of DSSSB. Clear Basic Maths Concepts (Class 10) and try to increase your speed and accuracy. Improve your grammar and focus on vocabulary and comprehension both English and Hindi.
• Practice with Previous Year Papers: Do not forget to solve previous years questions, this will help you understand important topics. Along with solving previous year questions, you can also focus on your time management.
• Take Mock Tests Regularly:You should also give mock tests from time to time. You should keep giving both online and offline mock tests. By analyzing your performance, you can understand your weak areas and improve them.
• Revise Frequently: Dedicate the last few weeks of the exam for revision. Don’t forget to make short notes, in the last days of the exam with those short notes, you can easily do your revision.
• Stay Positive and Healthy: Make a balanced routing, along with studying, take some rest in between as well, this will not make you stressed and you will be able to study more productively. Practice regularly and don’t let setbacks discourage you.
