Exam Pattern

The detailed exam pattern of UP Police SI exam is as follows:

- CBT Exam: This is the first and most important stage of the examination. A total of 160 questions of 400 marks are asked in this. All the questions are objective type questions. The total duration of the exam is 2 hours. You are awarded 2.5 marks for each correct answer. There is no negative marking.
- Document Verification and Physical Standard Test (PST): In this stage the information filled by the candidates is matched with their original documents to check whether the information given by them is true or not. After DV, the candidates are subjected to standard physical test in which their height, chest (for men) and weight (for women) are checked.
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): It mainly consists of running. Different standards are set for men and women.
- Medical examination: This is the last stage of the exam in which the candidates undergo medical examination.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: Applicant must possess a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized board or equivalent qualification recognized by the Government at the time of applying for the post.
